The MiniMoves® concept was born when founder & CEO, Jack Arslanian, pledged to fill a void in the moving industry – no one properly serviced America’s small shipments across the country. Jack wanted to create a company of small job movers that could provide full service solutions for small moves across the country and locally. Shipments of this size are typically too small for van lines and too large for mail carriers to ship these moving boxes easily, especially when one needs to ship boxes across country. MiniMoves® was created in 1991 and has been giving small move customers the full service treatment ever since. MiniMoves® initial target markets were shipping moving boxes, art, and furniture for college students and art galleries, which later also developed into corporate relocations for entry or mid-level new hires. Over 30 years later MiniMoves® has expanded to over 124 locations nationwide and has expanded its service markets to military and international moving services. MiniMoves® has proven that big things come in small packages.

MiniMoves® was started in 1991 to fill a need for people who wanted to move small items without having to pay a high minimum charge to a van line or drive a truck and do it themselves. We have perfected the best methods to move shipments of one piece of furniture up to a full apartment. Our apartment movers provide all of the careful handling and moving packing services you expect from professional movers but at a cost that is comparable to do-it-yourself truck or container rental.

Van lines with large trucks spend as much money coming to your home to move small items as they do to load a five bedroom household. That’s why they set a minimum charge based on thousands of pounds of shipping weight. MiniMoves does not have a minimum weight.

Container companies like PODS™ or PackRat™ offer fixed-size containers that you need to fill to keep your goods from shifting during stop-and-go driving and during the lifting and placement of the container. Or, what happens if you have one or two pieces too many that just won’t fit? What happens then? MiniMoves® does not have a fixed size or a space minimum. Our small item moving service is totally scalable so we adjust to fit the size of your shipment.

Truck rental seems like the low cost way to move apartments but, when you up all of the costs for gas or diesel fuel, insurance coverage for the truck and for your belongings, pad and dolly rental, excess mileage or extra days, you’ll discover that you may not be saving any money at all and instead of relaxing, while professional apartment movers load your stuff, you’re doing all the work.

MiniMoves® has the lowest cargo claims rate of any interstate van line because of our exceptional furniture shipping services. We use skilled, background checked, drug tested professional state to state movers to deliver big service on small moves. Our highly skilled, professional apartment movers provide inside pick up and inside delivery, all at a cost that is competitive with traditional van lines and do-it-yourself methods of moving.

We did a partial move of furniture from CT to FL and used this company. Within a day of signing up, I received a call from a local mover that they utilize and we set up a date for pickup. A week before the move, we finalized what we were moving with our contact a Mini Moves. The day before the move, the local movers called to verify everything. On the day of the move, they were on time and took EXTREME care to wrap all our furniture. We’ve had three major moves and we have never had this kind of care. The shipment arrived two weeks after pickup – right on the schedule of  “within three weeks.” Those movers came on the day promised and on time. Not only that, they put all of our furniture in the rooms we selected and even moved a few boxes that they originally placed. We would highly recommend them!
