MiniMoves Adds Vice President, Strategy & Business Development to Team

MiniMoves® is proud to welcome its new Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Michael Clarner – who has joined the team on December 1, 2019. As Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, Michael will assist the Executive Vice President and CEO in supporting the company’s strategic growth plan. Michael’s previous experience includes work with the relocation technology platform, Updater, and MiniMoves® is excited and honored to have such an experienced leader added to the small mover team.

Michael’s role will lead and direct MiniMove’s new partner relationships, including referral, booking and service provider networks. He will also work on increasing revenue from each of these types of relationships, and subsequently building the team necessary to achieve the company’s goals. In addition to his leadership, Michael will also assist the Director of Network Development by identifying and recruiting new agent partners around the United States. Michael is also responsible for working with MiniMove’s sales and marketing partners to produce current and future sales leads.

Bringing a Wealth of Experience to MiniMoves®

Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Michael Clarner

Michael brings more than 30 years of professional experience most recently as the Vice President and Executive Director of Business Development at Updater, a relocation technology platform used within the industry. He was successful in developing partnerships with hundreds of different moving companies, thereby assisting consumers to streamline all moving-related tasks and creating a booking engine for local and interstate moves. Michael was instrumental in taking Updater from a start-up company to a publicly held organization.

Prior to his work with Updater, Michael was a principal in a financial advisory firm that advised project financing for various industries all over the world and Head of Business Development for two start-up companies and one mid-level software company (all within the relocation and moving industry) which yielded three different produces or service lines and added over 800 accounts nationwide combined for the past eight years.
