HILLSIDE, IL August 15, 2022:
MiniMoves Inc. has once again partnered with the Move for Hunger organization as an official carrier for their donations to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Since partnering with Move for Hunger, MiniMoves Inc. has helped transport food donations across the Chicagoland area.
“Our movers have seen food go to waste during the relocation process. It makes perfect sense to help those that need it,” said Steve Yacko, MiniMoves® Vice President of Operations. “We are happy to be part of the reduction of waste and have partnered with Move for Hunger. If we can help with just transporting, we can make a difference.”
The MiniMoves® team picked up donations at two different nearby locations (2 Mid America Plaza and Oak Brook Plaza) transporting them to the Greater Chicago Food Depository while helping spread the word by proudly placing the Move for Hunger emblem on all our trucks.
Move For Hunger has been providing people with the opportunity to donate their food when they move since 2009, started with one moving company in New Jersey and expanded to 50 states and Canada.
“The MiniMoves team has embraced the Move for Hunger model and integrated the same charitable giving into our day-to-day operations by having our movers think about food left behind before it gets thrown out. We are looking forward to helping transport even more donations again next year!” said John Alianello, President & COO at MiniMoves, Inc.
