MiniMoves Supports the Families We Move with a Moving Family

HILLSIDE, IL August 27, 2025

MiniMoves, Inc., the nation’s leading small-move specialist, is proud to welcome Christos Giolas as a Coordinator Representative supporting the company’s corporate customer service and sales teams.

Christos and GeorgiaFor Christos Giolas, joining MiniMoves in June was more than just a new work opportunity; it’s a family story coming full circle. His mother, Georgia Giolas, has been with MiniMoves for 8 years and has worked as a relocation consultant in the moving industry for twenty years. Christos grew up hearing his mom around the dinner table talking about the daily tasks of helping people get through their moving journey. At an early age, he learned that moving isn’t just about boxes and trucks; it’s about the people, the families and their life-changing decision to relocate across the country. He saw how rewarding it feels to help them make their move a success.

“Christos has been a big help with keeping our order tracking and correspondence organized. I like to say I’ve taught him everything he knows!” said Georgia Giolas, Relocation Coordinator at MiniMoves (and Christos’ mom), laughing. “He’s really good at watching the service stages and alerts in our operating system as our customer’s moves progress through MiniMoves’ service steps.”

Christos brings his own skills in problem-solving, adaptability, communication and teamwork to support corporate relocations. He works closely with service providers and our move management team members to ensure moves run smoothly, stay organized, and as stress-free as moving can be.

The team at MiniMoves understands that corporate relocations are deeply personal. For families, it means uprooting children and adapting to an unknown community and new school and work environments. Behind every shipment is a story, and that’s where people like Georgia and Christos make a difference. Their personal experience and compassion help create trust and comfort during what can often feel like an overwhelming transition.

ChristosWhen asked who inspires him, Christos points to his grandfather as a role model: “My grandfather is someone I admire greatly. He came from a small village in Greece, traveling to America at 17, not knowing any English, and by the age of 40, he had built our family and was running three restaurants. Now at the age of 87, he has taught me what it means to stay true to yourself and work hard for what you believe in.”  Christos’ addition strengthens MiniMoves’ operational support and underscores the company’s recognition that successful moving requires good, caring people in the background sweating the details, so our customers get to their new city on time, well rested, and glad they chose MiniMoves.
