MiniMoves Inc. Business Development & Account Management representative, Jennifer Rodriguez, CRP, GMS was recently elected as the president of the Corporate Relocation Council of Chicago.
During her term as president, she will be responsible for leading the organization to growth and success. As the world is rapidly changing, she continues challenging the organization to embrace change. Alongside change, is collaboration. She is looking forward to collaborating with the 2023 leadership team and the members of the CRC organization, as mentioned in her acceptance speech, “To grow, we must be in this together, as a community”.
Jennifer attended her first CRC not knowing a single person and had very little clue about what she was walking into, but the way she felt sitting in that room was something she was sure she wanted to be part of, the relationships and sense of community that had won her over. At that moment, she aspired to one day be the CRC president, and now here she is. “We are very proud of Jennifer’s accomplishments. She is a natural in a leadership role, and we know she’ll do great things,” said John Alianello, President & COO at MiniMoves, Inc.
The Corporate Relocation Council (CRC) started in the late 1970s as a series of informal luncheons. Because of high-interest rates and associated real estate issues, Hugh Dermody, a real estate professional, decided to start inviting corporate relocation professionals to lunch, to address the issues of the day. As the attendance at these luncheons grew to more than a table, the meetings migrated to private restaurant areas. The mentoring of new relocation specialists was also a high priority. Hugh and his associates felt that it was their responsibility to “bring along” the new, young professionals.
